I share my stories of living in Norway and top travel tips with guests aboard cruise ships heading to the Norwegian Fjords and the Arctic region. Here’s how to join me.
For more than a decade, I’ve been living in Norway, writing and making videos about its culture and breathtaking landscapes. But one of my favourite ways to share this amazing country is from the deck of a cruise ship.

These cruises sail through some of the most spectacular scenery on Earth: deep blue fjords framed by snow-capped mountains, charming fishing villages, and the wild Arctic coastline.
While on board, , mixing personal stories of everyday life here with travel tips you can use right away. Think of it as a behind-the-scenes guide to Norway, told as you experience the country for yourself.
Cruising is such a social way to travel, and I love meeting readers and viewers who decide to join me at sea.
Whether you’re dreaming of the midnight sun in the north, the colourful streets of Bergen, or the dramatic fjords of western Norway, you’ll have the chance to see it all, while also getting an insider’s perspective from someone who calls Norway home.

Just a quick note: These are my confirmed bookings right now, but cruise lines can (and do!) change plans from time to time. I’ll keep this page updated if anything shifts.
In Search of the Northern Lights
28 February – 14 March 2027: 14 nights on Fred Olsen Balmoral from Southampton (L2705): Cruising is one of the best ways to see the northern lights and to enjoy the winter landscapes of Northern Norway.
Now, there are no guarantees of seeing the aurora, but if you’re prepared to put in the time while you’re on the cruise, you do increase your chances. This itinerary visits three ports north of the Arctic Circle including the lesser-visited Harstad and Sortland, giving the guests a taste of authentic Northern Norway.
But winter cruises aren’t all about the northern lights. There are activities such as dog sledding or visiting Sami families, plus lots of scenic sailing past Norwegian landmarks bathed in snow. And of course, there’ll be some engaging enrichment talks on board too!

Land of the Midnight Sun & Summer Solstice
12 – 26 June 2027: 14 days on Sky Princess from Southampton (Y720): Northern Norway at the height of the summer is a truly magical time. The sun never sets, so there’ll always be something to see! This cruise is timed to be in Northern Norway during the summer solstice for a true midnight sun experience.

It also takes place on Sky Princess, a fabulous ship that I’ve had the pleasure to work on already. I’m so excited to be returning and bringing my talks to a whole new audience.
This itinerary features visits two Arctic ports: °Õ°ù´Ç³¾²õø, and HonningsvÃ¥g, from where you can take an excursion to the North Cape. It also visits two stunning fjord ports: Olden and Skjolden, where the sailaways will be a highlight of the voyage.
Last but not least, this exciting itinerary also visits my adopted home city of Trondheim!

Norwegian Fjords
14 – 21 August 2027: 7 nights on Celebrity Apex from Southampton (AX07U257): I’m excited to join this classic Norwegian Fjords itinerary on one of Celebrity Cruises’ newest cruise ships, Celebrity Apex.

The itinerary calls at some of Norway’s finest coastal cities including Bergen and Ã…±ô±ð²õ³Ü²Ô»å, allowing you to experience Scandinavian culture and the close connection that Norwegian cities have with nature.
It also sails along one of Norway’s most famous fjords, spending a day in beautiful FlÃ¥m. As an introduction to coastal Norway and the Norwegian fjords region, it’s hard to beat!

Norwegian Fjords
21 – 28 August 2027: 7 nights on Celebrity Apex from Southampton (AX07U258): Another chance to join me on Celebrity Apex to see coastal Norway and the Norwegian fjords region comes the following week!

This itinerary is a little different, calling at Haugesund and Ã…±ô±ð²õ³Ü²Ô»å before travelling along the Nordfjord to reach Nordfjordeid. For me, this is one of Norway’s most underrated fjord ports.
On the way back to Southampton, the cruise calls at Zeebrugge, giving guests the chance to visit the stunning Belgian city of Bruges.

Norwegian Fjords & Arctic Circle
28 August – 11 September 2027: 14 nights on Celebrity Apex from Southampton (AX14U123): Still on Celebrity Apex, it’s time for another trip up to the Arctic Circle as Norway begins its slow transition from summer into fall. But although the Arctic Circle gets the headlines, this trip is a terrific introduction to Norway as a whole.

That’s because it calls at some of the country’s most interesting coastal cities, two picturesque fjord ports featuring sensational scenic cruising, and major Arctic destinations allowing a deep dive into Arctic culture and the chance to visit the North Cape.
Adding in even more variety, this itinerary features stops at Lerwick (Shetland) and Zeebrugge (for Bruges). And all this takes place on Celebrity Apex, one of the newest and most interesting ships in the Celebrity Cruises fleet, packed with things to do.

Search for the Northern Lights
16 – 30 October 2027: 14 days on Majestic Princess from Southampton (8734): I’m rounding off the year with another northern lights hunt, this time on Majestic Princess with Princess Cruises. And what a cracker of an itinerary this is!

We head straight for the north of Norway via a stop in Trondheim to spend as much time north of the Arctic Circle as possible for the best chance of glimpsing the northern lights.
With port calls in °Õ°ù´Ç³¾²õø, HonningsvÃ¥g and Alta, there’ll also be plenty of chances to dive deep in to Arctic culture by day, while seeking the aurora by night.
